Dr. Fernandez Lopez is originally from the island of Maui. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Tulsa Oklahoma. She completed a child/pediatric internship with the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston Consortium and returned to Hawaii for a child/pediatric fellowship at Tripler Army Medical Center. Dr. Fernandez Lopez later served as the Clinical Director of the Tripler Army Medical Center, Early Behavioral Health Team and Director of Training for the Child Psychology Fellowship. Dr. Fernandez Lopez has been involved in both research and clinical work over the past 18 years. She enjoys running, hiking, and going to the beach with her family.
